Folder and file names
A folder named 2011 anchors every photo inside it. A filename like Jul89_001.jpg narrows just that one photo.
For Your Scanned Family Photos
Scanned photos pile up under the day you scanned them — not the day they were taken. Timeline Scan finds each photo's real date and puts your collection back in order.
Four steps. No technical knowledge needed.
Drag your scanned photos into the dashboard. JPEG and TIFF, any archive size.
We group every face we find. Add a name and birth year to anchor the dating.
Optional, but makes dating noticeably sharper.
Our AI reads timestamps, handwriting, and faces across your whole archive. Close the tab and we'll email you when done.
Typical archive: a few hours, occasionally up to 48.
Same files, pixels untouched. Dates written to EXIF so Google Photos, Apple Photos, or Immich places each photo in the right year.
No account lock-in. Your archive, yours forever.
Date estimation
We combine every available signal to place each photo near its real moment in time.
A folder named 2011 anchors every photo inside it. A filename like Jul89_001.jpg narrows just that one photo.
Printed date stamps, lab marks, and faint back-of-photo timestamps often narrow the estimate faster than visual clues alone.
Handwritten dates, names, places, and captions are read and used as direct evidence when they are present.
Known people, birth years, and apparent ages help rule out years that do not fit the people in the photo.
Clothing, hairstyles, cars, decor, print borders, color, and film character all help identify the likely era.
Photos scanned in alphabetical order often belong together, so nearby files can give useful context to each other.
Scanned photos show up as if taken today. Every photo from a scanning session piles up at the same date, buried in the middle of your timeline. Timeline Scan fixes this.
Your photo library without Timeline Scan
Hard to find. Hard to enjoy. Just sitting there, out of time.
Getting your photos back
Every finished archive comes back to you. Keep the files, send them to your library, or both. They land in date order either way.
We add your dated photos straight to your Google Photos library, in date order. Album optional.
An export, not an import: we can't see or change what's already in your library. Google accepts no face names from any app, and handwriting notes appear under “Other” in the info panel.
See what transfersImport from your self-hosted server, then we write the corrected dates straight back onto your photos.
Dates, notes, rotation, and tagged faces, updated in place. Your original files are never touched.
See what syncsSave the dated originals to your computer. Organize them as you uploaded them, oldest to newest, by year, or by person.
Dates, notes, and names are written inside every file, so any photo app can read them. No lock-in.
See the folder layoutsYou can use more than one. Send an archive to your library and keep the download too.
Give your family photos the place in time they deserve.
