Timeline Scan weighs six kinds of evidence for every photo, and the strongest evidence wins: this photo comes back dated Dec 25, 1996, with the handwriting saved alongside it and the faces tagged. Photos with evidence this strong become anchors: the prints scanned around them inherit their place, so even a photo with no clues of its own lands in the right part of your timeline.
