Timeline Scan dates your scanned photographs and hands them back in order today, and that part is open to everyone. The library that keeps them afterward is still being built, and this page opens when it does.

Want a note when it opens? Write to support@timelinescan.com and we will tell you. In the meantime, see what dating your photos costs or read the common questions.

What we save in your photos, and who reads it

A scan arrives knowing nothing about itself. We fill in the missing details, you check them, and they are written into the file, so they go wherever the file goes.

Why it is worth doing

It stays in the file

2026 2056
  • Even when an app ignores a detail today, it is still in the file.

  • Nothing you fix is wasted. The next app you use may read it.

  • Standard fields, the same ones cameras have written for 30 years.

That is the whole idea: the right details, saved the way that lasts.

Your files

Yours to take, any time

  • Your originals, untouched, byte for byte.

  • A tagged copy, with everything above written in.

  • Subscribed or not, both are yours.

How downloads work Which delivery keeps what

Three questions

Does Google Photos read the names I add? +

No. Google Photos groups faces on its own and ignores names saved in a file. The names stay in your file and in Timeline Scan, and Immich receives them over our connection.

If an app ignores a detail, was the work wasted? +

No. Every detail is written into the photo file itself in standard fields. An app that ignores one today may read it later, and any app you switch to gets the whole file.

Can I change what the AI decided? +

Yes, all of it: the date, the order, the note, the names, the place, the rotation. Your corrections are what gets written into the file.
